News & Special Events!
Covid-19 Update (6/10/2020) To our Community of Language Learners and Friends:
The safety and wellbeing of our staff, students, and friends continue to be at the heart of our decision-making regarding when and how to teach in the coming months.
While we welcome – with caution – the reopening of Maine’s economic activity, we also need to be realistic with our unique situation in the interest of all.
Those of you who know our space will understand that social distancing is simply not possible in our classrooms and nor is fully disinfecting all surfaces after each use (we have all carpeted rooms, fabric chairs, etc.) as might be the case elsewhere.
In view of this, we will continue to teach online during the summer session (July/August) and frankly at this point, cannot quite see what would enable us to resume teaching on-site as early as September… Our fall schedule comes out in August and by then… what could be so drastically different as to reassure us that we would be safe cozied up in our classrooms?
Our teachers have done a fantastic job switching overnight to online teaching and while no one truly enjoys this medium more than its in-person, on-site, very distant cousin, each one of us recognizes that it is a blessing to have both the ability to continue doing what we love to do and the support and flexibility with which you have embraced it!
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for continuing, or embarking on, the language adventures we offer and for the time being, we will just say… see you on Zoom!
Warm Regards from all of us and best of health!

“I love the French theatre class. There is no other way to put it. Andy, the professor, has created a dynamique course using theatre as its foundation. This class has reignited my passion for the language by using a creative and fun approach to learning. “La notation phonétique”, provided as a helpful tool, has boosted my confidence in pronunciation. Kudos to Andy. He’s the best!!”
