While our regular classes will resume in September, we offer you this short 6-week summer session with a special focus: grammar.
This grammar-specific class is recommended for students at the Advanced Beginning level. If you are new to the school this summer, please check the regular Advanced beginning class description for prerequisites. Per CEFR guidelines, this class is appropriate for A2-B1 students.
We will be practicing:
– 4 German cases (Nominativ, Akkusativ, Dativ, Genitiv) and basic sentence structures
– Subordinate clauses and conjunctions
– Introduction to Reflexive Verbs, primarily focusing on pronouns in the accusative case (e.g., ich wasche mich)
– Verbs with prepositions and da-compounds (davon, darüber, darauf, damit …)
– Declension of adjectives and introduction to the three main declension types: Weak, Mixed, and Strong
– Introduction to the Konjunktiv II
If you need assistance to determine if this class is right for you, we would be happy to help.
Please get in touch by email.
