While our regular classes will resume in September, we offer you this short 6-week summer session with a special focus: grammar.
This is a grammar-specific class recommended for students at the Low Intermediate level. If you are new to the school this summer, please check the regular Low Intermediate class description for prerequisites. Per CEFR guidelines, this class is appropriate for B1-B2 students.
We will be practicing:
– 4 German cases (Nominativ, Akkusativ, Dativ, Genitiv) and more complex sentence structures
– Subordinate clauses and conjunctions
– Reflexive verbs including reflexive pronouns in the dative case (e.g., ich wasche mir die Hände)
– More complex verbs with prepositions and da-compounds (davon, darüber, darauf, damit …)
– Declension of adjectives at a more advanced level
– Konjunktiv II
