Manuela, who led this workshop and whom you will see on these pictures, is the daughter of the first Italian teacher we ever had at the school back in 1992, Gabriella. Gabriella was from Ischia and that’s how the idea for this all-day workshop, Un escursione in Campania, was born. The day’s activities were organized around the language, history, culture, folk songs and dances as well as food of the area, and all was kept in Italian! Here you will see students assemble lunch made of insalata caprese, pizza caprese, and torta caprese ai frutti di bosco (Ischia, Capri, Napoli… a hop, skip, and a jump!).
