A social gathering to ring in the new year together and start 2026 on the right path!
When: Sunday, January 4, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Where: Valerie’s office – 217 Commercial Street in Portland – Registered participants will receive further information as they will need to be let in the building. This information will be sent just a few days before the gathering.
Price: $17/person
Language of the evening: Well… it will depend! What languages do you speak? It is quite likely you will meet people with whom you can converse in the language of your choice!
RSVP by December 15, 2025 so we can order in time. (So sorry, we had to put an earlier date hearing back from the backery)
We will celebrate the beginning of the year adopting the French tradition of the galette des rois, this wonderful golden pastry made of puff pastry dough sandwiching a rich frangipane filling hiding a bean, a plastic or porcelain trinket, called une fève, and dressed with a paper crown while awaiting for its king or queen of the day. Every year, we turn to Standard Baking Co. to provide this delicious pièce de resistance as we gather, Champagne in hand, to wish one another a Happy New Year.
Please note that this year, SPACE is a bit more limited so please sign up as early as you can as we will have to close registrations when we have reached capacity. Thank you.
