10 Tuesdays, 7:10 – 8:40 p.m.
In this level, you will review the basics of the language to ensure a strong foundation. Assuming you can understand most frequently used vocabulary related to areas of immediate personal relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment) and catch the main point in short, clear, simple messages and announcements, you will reinforce the communication skills needed for uncomplicated and routine tasks requiring a straightforward and direct exchange of information on familiar topics and activities.
It is customary in this level for students to have previously studied the present, future, passé composé and imparfait of the indicative mood, and to have touched upon the present tense of the subjunctive mood. You will review and continue to work on all these tenses through storytelling and other activities.
