This course is geared to absolute beginners, however, it will be taught entirely in German.

Students will learn to introduce themselves and others as well as ask and answer questions about personal details such as where they live and where they are from, what they do for work, what their family is like, etc.  They will become familiar with the alphabet and the numbers from 0 to 1.000.000.  They will be able to ask for and give the prices of various items.  They will learn to use a limited number of adjectives to describe objects in the house.  They will hear and understand short conversations on these topics.

The grammatical topics covered in the course include present tense verb conjugation singular and plural, yes/no – and W- (information) questions, definite articles, personal pronouns (in the subject=nominative case), possessive articles, negation with “nicht”.

If you need assistance to determine if this class is right for you, we would be happy to help.
