This is a continuation of our introduction to the Japanese classes — or similar experience. Students entering this level have completed Japanese for Busy People 1 and are ready to switch to Genki 1.

This level assumes that students have been introduced to basic sentence structure and vocabulary to be able to engage in simple conversation involving greetings and basic background information (such as greetings, exchanging information, and making small talk about their daily life)
In this course, students are able to recognize Hiragana and Katakana (Japanese alphabetical systems) and read and write simple sentences.
Some Kanji (Chinese characters used in Japanese) will be introduced during the course.

If you know that this is the right level for you, please sign up!

If you need assistance to determine if this class is right for you, we would be happy to help.
