A native of Chicago, Camille attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she earned a BA, MA and PhD in French. Her passion for languages has led her to study French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian, Latin, Russian, German, Mandarin and Lingala. She has lived for a total of seven years in France, Spain and Italy and has also travelled extensively in Canada and Latin America.
Camille has been a faculty member at a number of colleges and universities in the US and Europe, most recently at the University of New England. She has published numerous articles and delivered many conference papers on language teaching and learning.
In her spare time Camille enjoys reading, solving Sudokus and taking long walks with her husband and their golden retriever.
