The Language Exchange headquarters is located on the beautiful southern coast of the state of Maine, in the city of Portland. With a population just over 64,000 people, Portland is an ideal location offering a balanced combination of metropolitan amenities -- arts districts, waterfront, museums, parks, elegant hotels, cozy inns, exquisite restaurants, diverse shopping opportunities - and the excitement of the outdoors - white-water rafting, canoeing, kayaking, skiing, hiking, swimming, and other.

Charming indeed, Portland has been home of The Language Exchange since 1992 with facilities in down-town Portland and across the beautiful Casco Bay, in South Portland. When we are not leading groups to other parts of the world - Martinique, Rio, Provence, Naples - we offer Group Classes and Workshops, Private Tutoring, and Programs for Children in French, German, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish, to US students year-round.
