We invite you to participate in Bella Napoli, a week-long
immersion program in the Italian language and culture, set in the
vibrant and exciting city of Naples, capital of the beautiful region
of Campania . Relatively small, the region of Campania features
a long list of spectacular sites and myriad artistic and historical
attractions, many of which you will have the opportunity to visit
during your trip. The program we have developed for you will afford
you with just the right combination of instruction (4 hours daily,)
personal time, and cultural discoveries. With the exception of the
two days spent entirely outside the city, each day will be divided
between morning classes at the Centro Italiano, afternoon strolls
to discover the Napolitans and their way of life, late afternoon
excursions to unfold the many mysteries of Naples' rich past, and
evening dinners or cooking classes to experience living the italian
way. Perhaps your goal is to better your newly acquired skills in
the Italian language or to reinforce a long dormant knowledge of
the Italian culture… whatever it might be, our aim is to give
you practical tools. This program is meant to offer you the experience
of living in a foreign culture while gaining the confidence that
you are learning valuable skills.
Activities/Program
In brief: Your time in Italy will be divided between language classes
and exploring the cultural treasures of Naples. During your stay,
you will not be passive tourists: rather, you will educate yourself
as you participate in activities designed to encourage interaction
with the locals. All in all it will be a high-energy week…

Accommodations
In order to experience Naples from within, we have chosen a hotel
located in the heart of the city called Hotel Neapolis. Our three-star
hotel offering private baths and internet access in each room is
located in the historical center of Naples, surrounded by the most
important and fascinating monuments of the city, and a couple of
streets away from the Centro Italiano's classrooms, and most means
of public transportation.
Transportation
Air & ground transportation to and from Naples is your responsibility.
However, we will provide you with information to assist you in preparing
for your trip. Our group expeditions throughout the week will be
via public transportation, taxis, funicular, bus, etc. and are included
in the course fee.
